Do you handle the entire administrative process?
Yes. From the notification of works to the municipality through to the Pronovo application for the one-off remuneration (a federal investment subsidy), we manage the whole administrative process so that your subsidies are secured without delay.
How do you ensure a PV system is profitable?
Through a rigorous technical audit. We analyse your load profile in order to size a system that maximises self-consumption, delivering a faster return on investment (ROI).
Do you handle NIV inspections after the works?
Yes. As engineers, we coordinate with the independent inspection bodies to confirm that your installations comply with the NIV (the Swiss Ordinance on Low-Voltage Electrical Installations) and to issue the mandatory safety verification report.
What is impulse’s role as client-side adviser and owner’s representative?
We act as your technical safeguard. We review the installers’ quotations, inspect the quality of the work carried out and make sure your financial and technical interests are protected.
How long is the average return on investment for a PV system in Switzerland?
With optimised self-consumption and the subsidies currently available, the return on investment is generally reached within 8–12 years, for a system service life of 30 years.
Do you get involved as early as the architectural design phase?
Ideally, yes. Early planning (SIA phases 31 to 51) allows the PV system and the EV charging infrastructure to be integrated properly, both technically and visually, and avoids the additional costs of later modifications.
What support is available in the cantons of Fribourg, Vaud and Neuchâtel?
In addition to the federal Pronovo scheme, some cantons offer efficiency bonuses or substantial tax deductions. We calculate the support available precisely, from the feasibility study onwards.
Can solar power be combined with a heat pump?
This is one of our core areas. We design the control strategy so that your heat pump draws on your own solar production first, which significantly reduces your annual electricity bill.
Is my existing connection capacity sufficient to add charging stations?
We carry out a dynamic load calculation. In many cases, smart energy management avoids a costly increase in the grid connection capacity.
How do you equip a condominium (Stockwerkeigentum) or an apartment building with charging stations?
We draw up the load assessment, size the dynamic load management and prepare the rules of use. The infrastructure is installed once; each owner then installs their own charging station at their own pace.
