Photovoltaic strategy and solar engineering (PV / ZEV)
Calculate before you put anything on your roof
An installer sells panels; we deliver returns. Solar is a complex financial and legal investment. At impulse, we model your actual output, set up your self-consumption grouping (ZEV) and integrate battery storage (BESS) to secure your returns over 25 years.
Yield study and
photovoltaic system sizing
“We do not sell panels, we design a generating plant. Every kWh has to pay for itself and every shading effect has to be anticipated.”
Yield simulation: precise analysis of solar irradiation and modelling of near shading, so that the figures we quote hold up in practice.
Tailored sizing: a neutral technical comparison of microinverters and string inverters, so that the technology suits your roof.
Consumption analysis (SIA 380): a detailed study of your load profiles (15-minute values), so that the system is sized to your actual needs rather than to the area of the roof.
Self-consumption grouping (ZEV)
“Turn your tenants into your own electricity customers. The ZEV is the legal instrument that makes your roof pay while reducing the building’s service charges.”
Legal set-up: we form the grouping, draft participation agreements that comply with Swiss tenancy law and set the internal tariffs.
Technical management and metering: sizing of the single grid connection point and design of the certified metering architecture (METAS) used for billing.
DSO administration: we handle the entire administrative and technical process with the distribution system operator (Groupe E, Romande Energie, BKW).
Battery storage (BESS) and energy management
“Energy autonomy depends on intelligent storage. We manage your energy flows to shave costly consumption peaks and improve your independence.”
Battery sizing: we calculate the optimum capacity (kWh) to cover night-time demand and raise your self-sufficiency rate to as much as 80 %, in summer as in winter.
Dynamic control: intelligent management of large loads (charging stations, heat pumps, water heaters) so that surplus solar energy is used on site.
Security of supply: back-up configurations that keep critical circuits (servers, refrigeration) supplied during a grid outage.
Subsidies and administrative procedures
“Profitability also depends on financial support. We work through the administrative complexity to obtain every franc you are entitled to.”
Pronovo one-off remuneration: we prepare, submit and follow up the federal one-off remuneration application through to the payment reaching your bank account.
Building permits: we handle applications to the municipality, produce the site plans and follow the public consultation or the simplified procedure.
Certification and compliance: we coordinate the independent final inspection and obtain the installation notification and the safety verification report required under the NIV.
